Clinical Placements
Students gain valuable hands-on experience in their placements or practicums. These are opportunities to integrate their skills and knowledge in a supervised setting. Humber has ongoing relationships with many agencies, and is often the preferred choice due to the outstanding reputation of the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences and their graduates.
Simulation Labs & Practice Suites
The Clinical Simulation Learning Centre can improve student learning by providing a variety of clinical situations that might not arise during the hours a student is in the practice setting. It offers opportunities to rehearse skills before trying them on real patients - thus improving patient safety.
Humber Heights Living Classroom Model
At Humber Heights, students learn at the centre of real long-term care. Through the Living Classroom model—where classrooms sit inside the home itself—students train alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience, teamwork skills, and daily interaction with residents.
