Why WIL?

WIL Benefits

Work-integrated learning prepares you for your future career. This may include field experiences, professional practicums, clinicals, internships, and co-operative education. WIL experiences are often referred to as placements, and they are a crucial part of any learning in the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness.

Classroom learning gives you the foundation; placements provide the opportunity to apply your learning in a real-world setting with professional supervision. You will build on your skills, learn about the world of work, discover career options available, and meet people in the profession. Humber's Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness offers placements through extensive partnerships with hospitals, long-term care facilities, child care centers, community and educational agencies, industry groups, and other facilities throughout the greater Toronto and surrounding areas.

Learn by doing and experience first-hand what it means to work in your chosen field. This is the valuable introduction to your future.
