Glossary:

Authentic Assessment:

A set of methods or techniques for assessing the academic achievement of a student that includes activities requiring the application of acquired knowledge and skills to real-world situations and that is often seen as an alternative to standardized testing.

Evidence-based Practice:

The integration of the best research evidence, clinical expertise and patient needs that will result in the best treatment outcomes.

Student-centred:

An educational approach that aims to develop learner autonomy and independence with a focus on skills and practices that enable lifelong learning and independent problem-solving.

Work-integrated Learning:

Educational activities that integrate academic learning with its practical application in the workplace.
