Timing/Key Dates
Important academic dates can be accessed by consulting the academic calendar.
Internship step-by-step process:
- Contact the program coordinator for more details regarding the internship process. The name of the current program coordinator is located under the Contact Us link on the program page.
- Provide a job description and a request form (will be provided at the time of inquiry).
- Within 2-4 working days of providing the internship description, the employer will receive a zip file with the applications (cover letters and resumes) of qualified candidates to choose from.
- After the employer selects the most suitable candidate(s) for the position, interviews are arranged in collaboration with the employer.
- Once the candidate accepts the position the employer may communicate directly with the student regarding the start date, working hours and other related aspects. The Program coordinator and Placement Officer are to be copied on this correspondence.
- During the 12 week internship the employer is asked to complete three brief evaluation forms with the student. The forms will be provided shortly after the student is hired.
- Evaluation Form Number 1 (Objectives) should be filled out together with the student. The employer and the student decide on the objectives and the timelines for the 12 week placement.
- Evaluation Form Number 2 (6-Week Evaluation) is filled out by the employer and the student at the 6 week timeframe. Student’s progress towards previously set objectives is assessed, as well as areas of improvement and overall professionalism.
- Evaluation Form Number 3 (12-Week Evaluation) is filled out by both employer and the student at the end of the internship (12 weeks). Both parties debrief the internship experience.
- Students are required to submit several assignments, assessments and surveys to the Program in order to fulfill the requirements.
