Meet Saima Sheikh
Saima teaches with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness, in the Early Childhood Education diploma program and the postgraduate Inclusive Resource Practice Child and Family program. Her broad experiences with diverse community groups and her own role as a consultant and parent feed into her work in the class, furnishing real-life examples to illustrate the importance of being responsive and inclusive.

Her passion "comes from the joy of learning and sparking that 'aha' moment when students understand something new" and make connections to practical application. She enjoys knowing that her students’ new professional skills will help in their personal lives, as well.
