Did You Know?

  1. Both the Food and Nutrition Management program and the Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle Promotion program share a common first year of study. With two additional semesters of study, qualified graduates can earn the two diplomas in three years! This may help streamline career aspirations.​
  2. Qualified graduates of the Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion diploma may be considered for admission into the Fitness and Health Promotion diploma program. Graduates may then complete the second diploma with the equivalent of three semesters of full-time study. ​
  3. Qualified graduates of the Fitness and Health Promotion diploma may be considered for admission into the Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle Promotion program. Graduates may then complete the second diploma with the equivalent of two semesters of full-time study. ​
  4. Qualified graduates of the following diploma programs may be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Health Sciences, Workplace Health and Wellness.​
    1. Fitness and Health Promotion. Graduates may then complete the degree with the equivalent of four semesters of full-time study plus a work term.​
    2. Food and Nutrition Management. Graduates may then complete the degree with the equivalent of six semesters of full-time study plus a work term.​
    3. Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion. Graduates may then complete the degree with the equivalent of six semesters of full-time study plus a work term.

Capstone projects provide integrative, hands-on, and often collaborative experiences that showcase your career readiness. Depending on your program, you might participate in a health fair, lead a fundraising initiative, or collaborate on a project with a national organization— applying your skills to real-world challenges and making a meaningful impact.

Work-Integrated Learning​

Students gain valuable hands-on experience through field placements, where they apply their skills and knowledge in real-world, supervised settings. Humber’s strong partnerships with a wide range of agencies—many of which prefer Humber students—reflect the outstanding reputation of the Humber Polytechnic graduates.
