Cross-Institutional Intraprofessional Event: Pharmacy and Pharmacy Technician Students Unite

Humber’s Pharmacy Technician program proudly hosted a landmark intraprofessional education event, welcoming over 300 students from nine institutions across Ontario. This groundbreaking initiative—among the first of its kind in Canada—brought together pharmacy and pharmacy technician students to explore each other’s roles, responsibilities, and perspectives within the profession.

With the President of the Canadian Pharmacists Association in attendance, students engaged in collaborative learning activities designed to promote role clarity, enhance team dynamics, and foster a deeper understanding of intraprofessional collaboration.

This event addressed a critical gap in pre-licensure education by creating space for meaningful dialogue and shared learning—better preparing students for the realities of collaborative practice in healthcare settings.

Congratulations to all participants and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this transformative event!
