15th Annual “Welcome the Student Day” at MacKinnon & Bowes

MacKinnon & Bowes proudly hosted its 15th annual “Welcome the Student Day,” welcoming over 120 students from Collège Boréal and Humber Polytechnic’s Funeral Service programs. This immersive event offered students a unique opportunity to learn alongside educators and professionals from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO), Trillium Gift of Life Network, and the Toronto Police Service.

The day began with opening remarks from the BAO, followed by a traffic safety session led by the Toronto Police, focusing on funeral procession planning. Students then engaged in hands-on learning through mock processions and interactive presentations covering key industry topics such as international shipping procedure  and professional phone etiquette.

A heartfelt thank you to the MacKinnon & Bowes team for their warm hospitality and continued commitment to education. Their support made this a truly meaningful experience for students as they prepare for their upcoming internships and future careers as Funeral Directors.
