Students apply TCM principles and treatment methods, including tuina, cupping, gua sha and acupuncture of trigger points, motor points and classic points to address conditions and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The students conduct physical examinations and assessments of the musculoskeletal system using standard orthopedic and special tests to assess common conditions of the spine, hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists. Students create a differential diagnosis and describe various TCM and common treatment approaches to these conditions.
