This course is divided into two parts. One is dedicated to the approval of products for pest control, and the second, larger, part is dedicated to regulatory requirements in food industry. In the first part, students will gain an understanding of how to make a submission for federal registration. The new Pest Control Products Act is covered in detail, including new rules on transparency, incident reporting and penalties. In the second part of the course, the students will gain knowledge in basic regulatory framework and in regulatory consideration in light of the increase in global food production and sourcing from overseas.
