| In Humber's Paramedic program, you will learn the theoretical basis for the skills needed to deal with medical and traumatic emergencies. Students are also taught how to communicate effectively with patients and to work in a health care team environment. Work placements provide students with opportunities to assess and treat patients in real clinical and field settings.
Field/Clinical Placement
Students graduate with over 550 hours combined experience in both the ambulance services and in chronic and acute-care hospital settings. Beginning in semester two, students may spend blocks of time or single days in these settings depending on the placement.
Additional Admission Requirements
Students must be able to meet the physical fitness requirements of this program. See all additional requirements.
