This course continues the studies of meridian theory, acupuncture point and needling techniques. It is designed to develop the TCM student's ability to establish acupuncture formulas for internal illnesses. Students will learn how to determine treatment goals and strategies as well as take into account precautions and contraindications. With case analysis, students continue to learn the principles of composing acupuncture point formulas, and to select appropriate points and point combinations for clinical treatments. This course will introduce the most suitable acupuncture point formulas for the treatment of common internal illnesses together with the appropriate course of acupuncture treatment and the application of associated therapeutic modalities.
